You will learn in a state-of-the-art lab on real equipment, and you will even have the opportunity earn the highly regarded Registered Pesticide Technician License and OSHA 10 Certification!

Installing professional landscapes at the Foundation House built by Tech Center students
Designing and drawing the plans to scale on professional software and then installing the beds at the field site
Installing landscape beds on the Tech Center grounds
Working at field sites such as: oceanfront resort, Virginia Beach Contemporary Arts Center, Virginia Aquarium, Sportsplex, Princess Anne Athletic Center, and Red Wing Golf Course
Taking field trips to: Winesett Nursery, Virginia Tech Experimental Station, Landcaster Farms, White's Nursery, Harbour Park, Norfolk Botanical Gardens, and TCC
Learning how to grow hydroponic plants, bonsais, vegetables, herbs, annuals, tres, and tropical plants
Not only growing the plants for the plant sales, but also running the three annual plant sales: Pansy, Poinsettia, and Spring Plants
