Check out Medical Systems Administration , a one-year, three credit program, where you will learn all of the skills the medical profession is seeking in qualified administrative candidates! You will learn in a real office environment, and you will even have the opportunity to become a Microsoft Office Specialist, a highly sought-after skill in today's business world!

All students at the Tech Center have the option to obtain an internship towards the end of their experience here. The philosophy is that there is invaluable knowledge and experience to be gained working side-by-side with a professional in an actual environment. Right now students in MSA are working on:

Field trips to Sentara Princess Anne and Sentara Virginia Beach General to learn about careers in the medical field. A nurse is the tour guide and the students talk with doctors and visit the nursery, admittance department, and medical records.
Using Smartdraw software to design an efficient medical office
Research professional dress and present do's and don'ts and create an entire professional outfit
