The Virginia Beach Technical and Career Education Center has a preschool for children ages 3 and 4. Classes run from early October through May. Children are taught through social play and developmentally appropriate lessons to prepare them for kindergarten.

Enrollment is open to the public on a first come basis. Children must be toilet trained and 3 years old by September 30 of the present year. A physical is required including current shot records. Applications may be obtained from the Tech Center main office .

The cost is $4.00 per day. Preschool classes are held Tuesday through Friday for two hours. The sessions are 8am-10am and 11:35am-1:35pm.
