Are you a people person who has an interest in serving your community? Check out Public Safety, a two-year, six credit program, where you will learn all of the core ideals police, fire, and rescue departments are seeking in qualified candidates! You will understand the intellectual and physical challenges that face police, fire, and paramedic personnel. You will even have the opportunity to become EMT-B and CPR for Health Care Professionals certified.

All students at the Tech Center have the option to obtain an internship towards the end of their experience here. The philosophy is that there is invaluable knowledge and experience to be gained working side-by-side with a professional in an actual environment. Below are some of the great internships our students have had, thanks to Public Safety!

Right now students in Public Safety are working on:

Role playing, fingerprinting, crime scene set-up and analysis
Great field trips to the SWAT Team and other facilities
Skills USA competitions and the chance to win gold medals
Riding in police cars and other public service vehicle
